Ruakura Spine Road Project
The project, a successful partnership between Hamilton City Council, Tainui Group Holdings and the Government Provincial Growth Fund contributed to unlocking the multi-modal Ruakura Inland Port, Logistics and Industrial development, part of the Ruakura Precinct, one of the biggest developments in the country at 490ha.
The project provided critical infrastructure for the Ruakura Inland Port area including construction of a 4-lane arterial road, 2 local road connections, negotiation of Grants and relocation of existing KiwiRail crossing. In addition, co-ordination of installation for trunk services – electricity, communications, water and gas etc…
Tika Group was engaged by Hamilton City Council to manage the delivery of the $40 million project.

Harapaki Windfarm Project
The project located within the Maungaharuru Range in Hawke’s Bay, will be New Zealand’s second-largest wind farm with 41 turbines generating 176 MW of renewable energy.
The construction will take approximately three years and is expected to be fully commissioned in 2024.
Tika Group was engaged by Meridian Energy Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest renewable energy generator and a major retailer to manage the site delivery of the $448 million project.

Waikato Tainui Hopuhopu Innovation Hub

The Hopuhopu Innovation Hub development is an integrated and holistic approach to achieving the social, economic, environmental, and cultural aspirations of Waikato-Tainui.
Situated in the heart of the Waikato, Hopuhopu covers approximately 170 hectares of developable land.
Waikato Tainui engaged Tika Group to develop a cohesive site-wide concept design strategy and Directional Plan setting out a staging, consenting and implementation strategy for the development. Tika continues to provide advice on the overall development of the site including delivery of several projects that form part of the overall development.

Te Whatu Ora
Health New Zealand
In 2020 Counties Manukau District Health Board established a Major Capital Works Advisory Group comprising independent members to provide guidance and advice to the Executive Leadership of Health New Zealand, Counties Manukau District.
At the time Health NZ, Counties Manukau, was seeking additional significant capital investment to remediate the current ageing infrastructure and add capacity to meet the service demand in response to population growth.
Tika Group was an invited member of this advisory group and continues to provide guidance and advice to Te Whatu Ora – Health NZ on its major capital projects.

Hotel Developments
Tika Group was engaged to oversee the expansion of a major hotel in the Waikato. The four-level extension project was a recipient of a Gold Award in the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards in 2022.
The extension, which showcases a cultural design on the front exterior, was finished in 2020, adding 40 rooms to the four-star hotel.

Urban Townhouse Development
Tika Group was engaged to project manage the delivery of a $9 million dollar townhouse development at the Te papa Peninsula in the heart of the Tauranga CBD.
